Leibniz Universität Hannover uses the open-source software Piwik for statistical analysis.

The software developers are in close contact with the Independent Regional Centre for Data Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).This means that they implement data protection rules and regulations so that Piwik can be used in accordance with German jurisdiction, in compliance with data protection laws and in a legally secure way.

Piwik uses cookies, i.e. small text files which are stored on your computer and enable you to analyse your internet use. These session cookies are stored on your computer only temporarily; as soon as the web browser is closed, these cookies are deleted. The information gathered by the cookie about your use of our internet services is stored on a server of Leibniz Universität Hannover and analysed exclusively in-house.
