Research Centre
Centre for Garden Art and Landscape Architecture

The Centre for Garden Art and Landscape Architecture (German: Zentrum für Gartenkunst und Landschaftsarchitektur, CGL) is an interdisciplinary establishment of the Leibniz Universität Hannover, in which the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape Sciences is currently most involved.

The goals of the CGL lie in the research and the promotion of research in the fields of the history of Garden Art and the care of Garden Memorials as well as current Landscape Architecture. A studio for experimental design is being constructed at the interface between landscape architecture and urban planning and architecture.

In the foreground of the work of the CGL lies the information and exchange of experience at the national and international level as well as the presentation of the research results to the public through publications, lecture series and exhibitions.

Within the framework of its possibilities the CGL also promotes its young up and coming scientists.
