Collaborative Research Centres
Top Level Research
The Collaborative Research Centres (CRC’s) involved in special research areas supported by the German Research Society (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) are important instruments for establishing top quality research at universities. This means of support gives scientists the opportunity to research into specific topics over a longer period of time. Special research areas can last up to 12 years.
