“Forum IT-Recht” Will Examine the Problem of “Transnational Data Flows”


The Institute of Legal Informatics will once more examine contemporary problems of Information Technology law. But this time in summer! Benefiting from the organization of the sixth edition of “IN SITU – International Summer School in IT and IP Law at Leibniz University Hannover”, the “Forum IT-Recht” will examine the problem of “Transnational Data Flows”.

New Collaborative Research Centre at Leibniz Universität Hannover


The German Research Foundation (DFG) has approved a new Collaborative Research Centre (CRC): in CRC 1128 “Relativistic geodesy and gravimetry with quantum sensors (geo-Q)”, scientists will undertake interdisciplinary basic research on trend-setting procedures to measure the earth and its constant alterations, including climate change.


German Research Foundation provides 3.9 million Euros in funding for Research Training Group at Leibniz Universität Hannover


The German Research Foundation (DFG) has approved around 3.9 million Euros for the new Research Training Group “Quantum-mechanical noise in complex systems”. The objective is to explore intrinsic quantum-mechanical noise in basic physical systems. The interdisciplinary research training group will be launched on 1 October 2014, and will initially run until 31 March 2019.
