Who adorns the Welfenschloss balcony? Why did the University move into the princely house? Which buildings have been added since the move? What is an audimax?
If you’ve always wanted to know more about the history and buildings of Leibniz Universität Hannover, now’s your chance to go on one of the “Welfs and scholars” tours offered one a month during term time. The meeting point for the 90-minute sightseeing tour is by the lions at the main entrance to the Welfenschloss. The guided tour is free of charge.
During the tour, you will discover more about how the Welfenschloss and its adjacent buildings were used in the past.
The tour takes you from the Welfenschloss to Conti Campus, where the Executive Board and administration of Continental AG used to operate.
The next guided tours will be held in German on the following dates. The meeting point is at the two lions of the main building, Welfengarten 1, at 10.30 am.

Tours are limited to a maximum number of 20 people.
