External applicants and students on the Masters in Teacher Training for Grammar Schools programme at Leibniz Universität Hannover can study an additional subject for their teacher training qualification. The four-term full degree programme, which can also be studied by those who are in part or full-time employment (the training activities take place during the day), prepares for teaching at grammar schools in this subject, not only at secondary stage I, but also at secondary stage II.

Possible subjects are Chemistry, Role Play, German Studies (school subject: German), English Studies (school subject: English), Protestant Religious Education, Catholic Religious Education, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Politics and Economics, Sports and Ethics.
