Earth Sciences (MSc)

Questions of Global Importance

The master’s programme in earth sciences teaches state-of-the-art scientific knowledge and methodology. The three geo-scientific Institutes of Geology, Mineralogy and Soil Science in charge of the degree programme offer many, often interdisciplinary, working groups where fundamental research questions or applied topics in earth sciences are investigated. In the last few decades, earth sciences have developed into a science using modern measuring procedures together with a strong theoretical element based on modelling.

Studying Earth Sciences provides many opportunities for this. The three geoscience Institutes for Geology, Mineralogy and Soil Science running the programme have many, often interdisciplinary working groups.
