Interdisciplinary Training with a Broad Scientific Basis

The master’s degree in wind energy engineering focuses on providing thorough, broadly based and practice-oriented training. The wind energy sector has developed from a niche industry into an internationally operating, professional economic sector, so that well qualified engineers are in high demand. Specialist knowledge and skills from all areas of engineering are needed, as are an understanding of the systems involved and an interdisciplinary way of thinking. Cooperation between the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering guarantees the scientific breadth required for this degree; through their research work and collaborations, the participating institutes are leaders in their fields.
