Alumni
Das Wort Alumnus leitet sich von dem lateinischen Verb "alere", also "ernähren", ab und bedeutet "Zögling, Schüler seiner Alma Mater". Mit dem Begriff Alumni (Alumnus, pl. Alumni) sind die Absolventinnen und Absolventen einer Hochschule, aber auch die ehemaligen Professorinnen und Professoren und alle ehemaligen Universitätsangehörigen gemeint.
