Das Studentenwerk Hannover betreibt Mensen und Cafeterien, unterhält Wohnhäuser für Studierende, bietet eine Sozialberatung und soziale Unterstützung für Studierende in besonderen Lebenslagen. Es unterstützt die studentische Kulturarbeit und informiert Studierende zu wichtigen Fragen rund ums Studium. Außerdem ist das Studentenwerk für die Bearbeitung der BAföG-Anträge zuständig.
