The production process of tomorrow is connected, smart and resource-efficient: scientists in the key research area “Production Engineering” will ensure this.
At the new campus for mechanical engineering at Leibniz Universität Hannover in Garbsen, the Centre for Production Technology (PZH) pools the expertise of seven institutes and approximately 260 scientists - primarily with backgrounds in engineering and natural sciences. Here, the entire production process is researched and optimised with regard to future-oriented aspects such as materials, micro production, manufacturing and forming technology, assembly and automation technology, factory planning and logistics. Research areas at the institutes include computer-aided manufacturing and industry 4.0, resource efficiency, medical engineering and aerospace engineering.
TEWISS GmbH provides customised engineering services directly on site.
Due to outstanding research achievements in numerous joint projects, as well as an excellent infrastructure, PZH is one of the most prominent research centres, nationally and internationally, in the field of production engineering.
