Research Assistant (Post-Doc, m/f/d) in the area of Computational Mechanics

(Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

The International Research Training Group IRTG 2657 invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (Post-Doc, m/f/d) in the area of Computational Mechanics (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %) starting September 1st, 2021. The position is limited to 3 years, with the possibility of extension.

The International Research Training Group IRTG 2657 on „Computational Mechanics Techniques in High Dimensions“ conducts research in close collaboration between researchers from Leibniz University Hannover and École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay on innovative computational techniques for engineering and scientific-technical solutions.

In the IRTG 2657, you will do research in an international and diverse team on cutting edge methods for physics-based simulation of complex systems behaviour and processes. As associated postdoc, you will conduct your independent research in close collaboration with PI’s and the doctoral researchers, who will start at the same time. We offer additional opportunities and guidance to foster your academic and/or professional career.

You obtained a doctoral degree (PhD) in computational mechanics with strong relation to sophisticated computational techniques such as high-performance computing, model order reduction and/or data based simulation? You are excited to investigate complex physical processes in engineering via computational simulation and their utilisation for industrial applications? We are excited on your application!

Part-time employment can be arranged on request.

As an equal opportunities employer, Leibniz University Hannover intends to promote women and men. For this reason, suitably qualified women are specifically invited to apply.

Preference will be given to equally qualified applicants with disabilities.
