Research Assistant (m/f/d) as Project Manager & Business Developer

(Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

The Joint Lab of the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) with the Research Centre L3S invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (m/f/d) as Project Manager & Business Developer (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %) to be appointed at the earliest possible date. The position is limited to October 31, 2023 and an extension will be pursued.

Responsibilities and duties

We are looking for support for two prestigious European innovation projects. The first project promotes innovation in the telecom and financial sector through data space technologies. The second project establishes a virtual data innovation hub and digital startup accelerator. It involves funding, mentoring and supporting entrepreneurial and creative projects to transform the media value chain through responsible, innovative use of data.

You will work with the project coordinator (Ms Alexandra Garatzogianni), her team consisting of project management and development, and two European consortia to support the implementation of the project activities at European level and beyond. Your research will be in the areas of entrepreneurship, business strategy, policy design and sustainability for SMEs and start-ups. You are looking at the development of a pan-European virtual data-driven innovation ecosystem through active multi-stakeholder engagement.

Employment conditions

A scientific university degree (Master or equivalent), preferably in Business Development, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management or a related field is required for employment. Furthermore, the position requires excellent written and oral communication skills in English, very good German language skills are a plus. Experience in business development, entrepreneurship as well as EU-funded projects and experience in compiling information for websites, social media is desirable.
