Research Assistant (m/f/d) in the division of communications systems

(Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

The Institut für Kommunikationstechnik (IKT) invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (m/f/d) in the division of communications systems (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %) starting at the 1st of October in 2022. The position is initially limited to three years and includes the opportunity of graduating with a doctoral degree.

Scope of work

  • Work on a research project in the field of wireless transmission technology
  • Modern Multicarrier and Multireceiver Transmission Schemes (5G, 6G, 7G, …)
  • URLLC, MMTC and Ad-hoc-Networks (e.g. as extensions of DECT-2020 NR)
  • Channel Adaptive System Design / Cognitive Radio Systems and Strategies
  • Rapid Realtime RF-Testbed Prototyping with USRPs and e.g. GNURadio

Qualifications

You are very motivated, self-initiated and have successfully completed your studies with a master university degree in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics. You are expected to have profound knowledge of signal processing theory and methods as well as aspects of practical implementations and to have experience with developing software components in MATLAB or C/C++. Good communication skills in English as well as German language, both oral and written, are furthermore required.
