Research Assistant (PostDoc, m/f/d) in Mathematical Physics

 

The Institute of Theoretical Physics invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (PostDoc, m/f/d) in Mathematical Physics (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %) starting September 1, 2024. The duration will be two years.

Responsibilities and duties

The successful applicant is expected to support the research done within the group, which includes Prof. Olaf Lechtenfeld, postdoc Lorenzo Casarin, one or two PhD students and occasional Riemann Fellows. Close ties exist with the `Riemann Center of Geometry and Physics'.

Employment conditions

The successful candidate must hold a scientific university degree in theoretical physics or mathematics. A PhD degree as well as working knowledge of and experience with quantum field theory, supersymmetry, relativity or related subjects is desirable.
