Guidelines for the award of Lower Saxony Scholarships at LUH
Criteria
Eligible applicants include students with outstanding results (evidence must be provided in the form of an official, up-to-date transcript of marks (“Notenspiegel”) from the Examination Office), as well as talented students from educationally underprivileged backgrounds (neither parent has attained a qualification higher than a school-leaving certificate) and “first-generation students” (students that are the first in their family to study). Provision of this information is voluntary.
First semester students applying for a scholarship must provide their university entrance qualification (Abitur or similar). International first-semester students are required to submit a German translation.
Students who, due to fleeing, have particularly difficult starting conditions and general conditions for studying, are also eligible to apply for funding. For this, evidence must be provided.
There is no legal entitlement to this scholarship.
Application procedure
Applications for scholarships in winter semester 2020/21 may be submitted between 12 and 23 October 2020 using the application documents provided on this website.
Students are eligible to apply for both a Deutschlandstipendium and a Lower Saxony Scholarship; however, applicants will only be considered for one scholarship.
