Opportunities for Studying Abroad

Programmes at LUH

The International Office offers various options for studying in Australia, such as spending a semester abroad at a partner university of LUH or at one of eight Australian universities within the framework of the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). In order to increase your chances, we recommend that you apply for both options.

Furthermore, there are research mobility programmes with substantially reduced semester fees at the University of Wollongong (one semester) or at the University of New South Wales (two semesters) addressing students enrolled in master’s degree programmes. Interested students are encouraged to contact Ms Knoche.

In addition, students may complete an internship in Australia.

Students in the fields of natural sciences, geoscience, engineering, medicine, and computer science may complete an internship via the RISE Worldwide programme.

Teacher training students and graduates of teacher training programmes may complete an internship via the DAAD scholarship programme "Lehramt.international".

PARTNER UNIVERSITIES

There are partner universities at university level available to all students enrolled at Leibniz University Hannover and partner universities at faculty level addressing students at the respective faculty.

For students who will be spending a period abroad at one of our partner universities, tuition fees are reduced by 10%. In addition, the University of Wollongong offers one place which is exempt from tuition fees.

Throughout the programme, students benefit from comprehensive support. The International Office will contact the partner university, the host university will then assist incoming students with all matters regarding their stay, including help with their timetable, finding accommodation and furnishing their room, as well as arrangements for their arrival in order to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

Furthermore, the International Office is available to answer your questions.
