The University of Georgia was founded in 1785 and is considered the birthplace of public higher education in America.



Periods abroad within the scope of this partnership are limited to one semester.

Academic Fields

The programme addresses students in bachelor’s degree programmes majoring in German and English.

Semester Dates

Semester 1: mid-August - mid-December

Semester 2: early January - end of April/early May

Funding Period

1 August - 31 December



All students majoring in German and English who will be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programme during the intended period abroad are eligible to apply.

Fees and costs


Students who will be spending a period abroad at a partner university in the United States are exempt from tuition fees. In addition, this programme includes a full scholarship covering the five-month stay in the United States.
