Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú
Founded in Lima in 1917, PUCP is one of the top 25 universities in Latin America and the only Peruvian university ranked among the top 500 universities worldwide in international rankings. Approximately 20,000 students are currently enrolled at this private institution. Lima, the capital of Peru, is located on the coast in the west of the country and has a population of over 9 million. Lima is Peru's most important economic and cultural center, boasting numerous universities, colleges, museums, and historical monuments. The historic center of Lima was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.
As part of this partnership, the exchange program is limited to one, or at most two, semesters. There are two places available per semester. Students from Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) can enroll in any of the degree programs offered at this university. The semesters run from March to July and from August to December. Applications are accepted starting in the second semester of a bachelor's degree program. Spanish language proficiency at level B2 is required. No formal language certificate is required.
Expenses
Students are responsible for covering the costs of travel, health insurance, accommodation and meals, etc. The cost of accommodation and meals for a semester varies depending on the type of accommodation, the cost of living in the relevant region or city, and personal requirements.
A number of discounts are available with the International Student Card (also available at LUH: Main cafeteria).
Specific information regarding PUCP:
In addition to the option of accommodation in private homes and with host families (meals usually included), PUCP also offers rooms in dormitories off-campus. Students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.
