Requirement to Wear a Face Mask or Covering

Anyone entering buildings of Leibniz University Hannover is required to wear a face mask or covering

Whether in shops or on the bus – covering the nose and mouth to prevent the spread of the coronavirus has become an inherent part of our everyday lives. Following a resolution by the Presidential Board, anyone entering buildings of Leibniz University Hannover is required to wear a face mask or covering (MNB). This applies to all communal areas within those buildings, including stairs, lifts, corridors and sanitary facilities.

Students and members of staff may remove their face mask or covering if they have reached their destination, such as their workspace, their seat in a meeting room or their seat in a lecture hall. When using communal areas closed to the public, a minimum distance of 1.5 metres must be maintained. If this is not feasible, a face mask or covering must be worn to cover the nose and mouth.
