Aid fund for students - application starts on 01.03.

The Studentenwerk Hannover has set up two emergency aid funds for students who are in financial difficulties or in need due to rising prices. This is possible due to the emergency aid from the state of Lower Saxony for the Lower Saxony student unions, which was decided at the end of 2023. Around 900,000 euros are available for the emergency aid fund.

The Studentenwerk Hannover has set up two emergency aid funds:

Aid fund "Energy costs" for students who are affected by poverty due to rising prices
Aid fund for students with children and students with disabilities

Students at the preparatory college (Studienkolleg) at Leibniz University Hannover, who pay the student union fee and are resident in Germany, can also submit an application.

The application start date for both funds is March 1st, 2023.
