RETROSPECTION: A NIGHT OUT WITH SCIENCE 2016

Approximately 13,000 visitors wanted to learn more about teaching and research at LUH and attended A Night Out With Science (Die Nacht, die Wissen schafft). Numerous facilities and institutes of Leibniz University Hannover opened their doors on Saturday 12 November 2016 from 6 p.m. until midnight and offered approximately 180 activities. There were presentations, guided tours, hands-on activities, and experiments in various locations – from ContiCampus and the main building at Welfengarten, to Herrenhausen, the Hannover Centre for Production Technology (PZH) in Garbsen, and the Marienwerder campus. In recent years, “A Night Out With Science” attracted around 10,000 visitors.

NOVEMBER OF SCIENCE

“A Night Out With Science” marked the start of the November of Science (November der Wissenschaft). During the series of events, more than 70 facilities in Hannover open their doors to the public.

The November of Science is a project of the Hannover Science Initiative. Seven universities in the Hannover area, the Volkswagen Foundation, the Student Services Organisation, numerous scientific institutions, as well as the state capital Hannover are involved in the event.
