Goals of the MInT Ukraine programme

MInT-Ukraine addresses the urgent need for flexible education models for fostering international cooperation within networks and upskilling in the relevant educational fields. Its general objective is to equip staff from Ukrainian higher education institutions with essential competencies in the management of internationalisation processes, with a particular focus on the strategic use of micro-credentials.

  • Goals

    The participants of the MInT-Ukraine training programme will

    • enhance their knowledge of the internationalisation of universities, including relevant strategies, management, implementation, and methods for promotion on a global stage;
    • gain a comprehensive understanding of micro-credentials as a flexible and inclusive educational tool that fosters lifelong learning and international cooperation, distinguishing them from traditional degree programmes;
    • understand and apply legal frameworks for the quality assurance and recognition of micro-credentials;
    • acquire essential project management skills to plan and implement projects, taking stakeholder perspectives into account;
    • apply the concepts learned in practical projects at home institutions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and exchanging best practices.

Course Content

This blended learning training programme is designed for the duration of 12 months, accommodating 16 participants across 3 cohorts. It addresses the needs of various higher education institutions (HEIs) from different regions of Ukraine with different levels of experience in internationalisation.

  • Structure

    The training programme consists of four modules that provide a blend of theoretical insights and practical assignments.
    These are delivered through three online workshops and one on-campus workshop at Leibniz University Hannover, along with individual projects, online presentation sessions, and online tutorials.

    The online phases are designed such that participants can manage them alongside their regular tasks at their home universities.

    During the training, each Ukrainian participant develops and implements an Individual University Project (IP) at their home university, tailored to best fit their institutional needs.

    At the end of the qualification programme, participants will be awarded 10 ECTS credits and LUH certificate of completion on “Micro-Credentials in Internationalisation”.
