Our information and advisory services are designed to respond to the individual needs and concerns of students seeking advice. We provide advice objectively, without prejudging the outcome. During our drop-in sessions and scheduled consultations, we provide information and offer confidential advice on any questions and concerns relating to your studies.

Around 45 minutes are set aside for a consultation. Sometimes, of course, it may be possible to resolve issues more quickly; other times, it may make sense to arrange follow-up appointments.

Consultations are strictly confidential and free of charge. Our offices are accessible for students with disabilities.

Discussions can be held either by appointment or without an appointment during a drop-in session.

Consultations (by appointment)

Appointments for a consultation can only be made by calling the office of the Student Advisory Services. To contact the office, call our service hotline:

+49 511 762 2020

Drop-in sessions (without an appointment)

No appointment is needed for our drop-in sessions. These are held every

Thursday from 14:30 to 17:00

Simply report to the Infothek at the Service Center, and you will then be referred to an advisor.

The Main Building of Leibniz University Hannover is very large, and may seem daunting the first time you visit us. Here are a couple of maps to help you find us in the Welfenschloss:

How to find us:

  • Take the middle entrance (up the steps) to the castle
  • From the large atrium, go up the stairs on the right
  • Once you have reached the top of the stairs, turn right and go down to gallery on the right
  • You will find our office on the first door on the left (Room C 305)

Access for students with disabilities:

The lifts on the lower ground floor are an alternative to the stairs. For more information, please contact Ms. Christiane Stolz, Advisor for Students with Disabilities and/or Chronic Diseases.
