Safeguarding good scientific practice
In order to safeguard high quality standards in research, observing the rules of good scientific practice is of the utmost importance at Leibniz University Hannover.
Ethical research
The Central Ethics Committee of Leibniz University Hannover is an independent committee that assesses and evaluates whether planned research projects carried out on humans and involving data of humans conducted at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) or Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media are ethical.
Responsible research
The Senate's Commission for responsible research assesses research outcomes and controllability in order to prevent misuse of research findings for harmful purposes.
Transparent research

Handling research data
Leibniz University Hannover is committed to the importance of research data in the process of scientific research. The university encourages the development of proper recognition for its researchers, who provide access to high-quality research data in recognised repositories and archives in accordance with the FAIR principle.
