Are you planning your first teaching at Leibniz University Hannover and looking for guidance? In this workshop, you will learn the basics of teaching in higher education and how to professionally plan your own courses based on findings from educational research.
In preparation for the workshop, you will receive self-study materials to learn basic concepts. In the workshop, you will receive theoretical input and will have the opportunity for discussions and collegial exchange. You will also apply the previously acquired knowledge during the workshop to your own planning.
You will learn how to write learning objectives and determine course content in accordance with the principle of constructive alignment, as well as how to use teaching methods and tools in a targeted manner. In addition, you will develop ideas for engaging teaching concepts in the workshop. This will equip you to plan your own teaching professionally. In addition, you will receive a workbook to assist you in your preparation of your course.

international, English-speaking members of teaching staff who are new to or have little experience in teaching in higher education
independent intermediate communication ability, good knowledge of the English language (language level B2 and up)
The language courses offered in the training and qualification programme are systematised according to the competence levels of the Common Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This provides a benchmark for the acquisition of language skills and aims to make different language certificates comparable with each other.
