Wissenschaftsreflexion: What is it? What is the need for it?

From June 17–19, 2026, the new research building Forum Wissenschaftsreflexion at Leibniz University Hannover hosts its inaugural conference. The event brings together international researchers from philosophy, sociology, political science, economics, bioethics, and related fields. The three-day programme features the opening ceremony on June 17 as well as scientific lectures, panel discussions, and workshops addressing diverse topics such as epistemic authority, research openness, evidence-based policy, and the importance of knowledge infrastructure.
