On 5 November 2022, more than 150 presentations, experiments, exhibitions and hands-on activities will take place at all locations of Leibniz University Hannover

Join in, discover, listen – and ask questions: On 5 November 2022, between 12.00 and 18.00, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) will open its doors to citizens of Hannover and the surrounding region. Guided by the motto “Leibniz AnsprechBAR: Ask scientists – LUH in the science year 2022”, researchers and teaching staff will answer questions in a variety of fields. Overall, more than 150 presentations, experiments, exhibitions and hands-on activities will take place across the university.

The event is inspired by the motto of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for the science year 2022: “Participate!” Possibilities for topics and formats are virtually endless. In addition to the proposed tours, visitors can compile an individual programme – at the locations Welfengarten, Königsworther Platz, Herrenhausen, Schneiderberg, Moritzwinkel and Garbsen.

A special opportunity will be available in the atrium of the main university building: At the “Leibniz AnsprechBAR”, professors from different scientific fields will be available to discuss current issues with visitors – from energy to health matters or climate protection. Naturally, other researchers involved in the varied programme will also be happy to answer your questions!
