Qualification and Personnel Development for Employees, Researchers and Teaching Staff

As a central point of contact for PhD candidates and postdocs at LUH, the Graduate Academy offers various information, consultation   and qualification services.

The Graduate Academy addresses prospective doctoral candidates, doctoral candidates and postdocs and assists them at all research stages of their doctorate, during their postdoctoral career as well as with planning career paths – both in scientific and non-scientific fields.

GRANAT is the service institution of the Faculty of Natural Sciences for the promotion of young scientists and offers, among other things, a portfolio of high-quality qualification courses. The courses are primarily tailored to the needs of the natural sciences.

Interested persons from other faculties of LUH can also participate in GRANAT courses for a course fee.

The International Office promotes internationalisation of research as well as the integration of international researchers at LUH. In addition to advice on various topics, we offer workshops and events addressing all researchers at LUH.

Within the scope of the project “Leibniz Science Communication Lab”, Communications and Marketing offers workshops in the field of science communication and knowledge transfer for professors at LUH as well as for researchers from postdoc level in order to support them in their role as science communicators in the best possible way.

We offer individual and comprehensive advice on different national funding opportunities for researchers at LUH.

We offer specialist and process-related advice to LUH institutions and staff in leadership positions on the topics of strategy development, project management and change, knowledge management, process analysis and optimisation, and health management.

Researchers at Leibniz Universität regularly make inventions. "Patents and Start-Ups" advise and support you in all matters relating to inventions, patenting and other property rights.

As part of the Hannover Transfer Campus project, we offer qualification courses on legal and business basics, which also include content on personal development as well as knowledge and technology utilisation.

Whether you work in research, teaching, administration or in technical fields, with or without management responsibilities: We will be happy to assist you and your team with your professionalisation needs. Our human resources development services cover coaching, consultations, qualification and team development.

The ZQS supports teaching staff and students with organising successful teaching and learning processes – including the optimal use of digital tools and methods as well as imparting transferable skills for academic and professional success or competence-oriented planning of courses and examinations.
