Consul General of India visits Leibniz University Hannover

The Consul General of the Republic of India, John Herbert Ruolngul, paid his inaugural visit to the Leibniz University Hannover on 7 May 2021. The diplomat has been serving in Hamburg since December 2020. The meeting with President, Prof. Dr. Epping and Dr. Barden-Läufer (Director of International Office) was the Consul General's first official visit outside Hamburg.

The topic of discussion was on the current COVID 19 Pandemie situation in India, partnership between higher education institutions and recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Leibniz University Hannover. President Prof. Epping expressed the solidarity of the Leibniz University Hannover with the people in India, partner institutions and expressed his hope that we will all overcome the difficult situation together.

Furthermore, the Consul General extended the Lord Mayor extended the invitation to President Prof. Epping and Dr. Barden-Läufer to visit the Consulate General of India in Hamburg.
