For the tenth time, Leibniz University Hannover will award "Deutschlandstipendium" scholarships for hard-working and committed students at LUH. Scholarship holders receive 300 euros of funding per month or 3,600 euros per year, half of which will be provided by private sponsors including businesses, foundations or private individuals. The remainder will be covered by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Interested students may submit their application for the award of a scholarship in winter semester 2020/21 between 10 August and 30 September 2020. Applications must be submitted via the online application portal. First-semester students from Germany and abroad as well as students in advanced course semesters are eligible to apply. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic qualification as well as additional criteria such as social and/or political commitment, social hardship, special achievements, practical experience or to support students of immigrant origin and students that are the first in their family to study. Students who do not meet these criteria are still encouraged to apply.
