Vice Presidents confirmed in Office

Change in International Affairs and Sustainability set for autumn

The Senate of Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) and the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony (MWK) have appointed the vice presidents, who join the Presidential Board as of 1 January 2024. Prof. Dr. Holger Blume will continue to act as Vice President for Research and Transfer. Prof. Dr. Christina von Haaren will act as Vice President for International Affairs and Sustainability until the end of August 2024. Prof. Dr. Regina Nogueira (Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Waste Management) will take over her role as of 1 September. Prof. Dr. Julia Gillen will continue to be responsible for teaching and academic programmes, as well as academic further education in her role as Vice President for Education. Prof. Dr. Joachim Escher will be responsible for human resources development as of 1 January 2024.
