Every year, international students and doctoral candidates who distinguish themselves through good academic performance as well as special social commitment inside and outside the university, are awarded. The awards are the DAAD Award (allocated with € 1.000) and university awards (allocated each with €500). Nominations are automatically considered for both awards.
Eligible Persons for the Award: International students, doctoral candidates and recently graduated people (final examination less than three months ago) who meet the above requirements. Potential award winners can only be nominated by members of the university; self-nomination is not possible.
Nomination procedure
1. Lecturers/Professors/ Adminitrative and technical staff nominate students/doctoral candidates using the form down below. Students and doctoral candidates may not nominate themselves, but can ask entitled university members for a nomination.
2. The Students/Doctoral Candidates are informed of this nomination and accept it by submitting requested documents.
3. After the deadline, the decision is made and all nominators and nominees are informed. All nominations must be received by 01.09.2025 via the form.
4. The Award Ceremony will take place on October 21, 2025 in the Leibnizhaus.
