In our research and teaching, we value a strong connection between theory and practice. Students design participatory processes and learn how to cope with uncertainty, mediate between interests and develop courageous visions for the future. The goal is to establish participatory open space development and design as a future research field and enable students to co-creatively design planning processes.

In my teaching and research, I place particular emphasis on presenting particle physics – and thus the fundamental questions regarding the elementary building blocks of matter and their interactions – from different perspectives and encouraging the enthusiasm of students, junior researchers and the public. This functions especially well within Hannover’s interdisciplinary research clusters.
