Opportunities to Study Abroad in Canada with LUH
The International Office offers various options for studying in Canada.
1. A semester abroad at one of our partner universities, University of New Brunswick and King's University College at the University of Western Ontario .
2. A semester abroad at the University of Regina or the Thompson Rivers University within the framework of the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), via ISEP Exchange or ISEP Direct.
Other Programmes
In addition, the German-Canadian Society (DKG) offers internships in Canada.
Students in the fields of natural sciences, geoscience, and engineering sciences, as well as in medicine and computer sciences may complete an internship via RISE Worldwide .
Teacher training students and graduates of teacher training programmes may complete an internship in Canada via the DAAD scholarship programme "Lehramt.international" .
Partner Universities



All Canadian partner universities are partners at faculty level. A stay abroad is possible for students at the respective faculty.
Throughout the programme, students benefit from comprehensive support. The International Office will contact the partner university, the host university will then assist incoming students with all matters regarding their stay, including help with their schedule, finding accommodation and furnishing their room, as well as arrangements for their arrival in order to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

ISEP
Students enrolled at Leibniz University Hannover may spend a semester abroad at one of three Canadian universities within the framework of the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP).

Students can choose either ISEP Direct or the less expensive ISEP Exchange programme to spend a period abroad in Canada.
Throughout the programme, students benefit from comprehensive support. The International Office will contact the partner university, the host university will then assist incoming students with all matters regarding their stay, including help with their schedule, finding accommodation and furnishing their room, as well as arrangements for their arrival in order to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

Fees and Costs
Total costs for a study period abroad in Canada range from €6,000 to €10,000 (including board and lodging, as well as flights).
This applies to periods abroad via ISEP as well as to stays at a partner university.

Visa
Students who would like to study in Canada must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
