Junior Professorship (m/f/d) of Salary Scale W1 NBesO in Education for children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD)

The Institute of Special Education Needs invites applications for a Junior Professorship (m/f/d) of Salary Scale W1 NBesO in Education for children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) to be filled as early as possible. The position is limited to three years (with the possibility of an extension for a further three years).

The teaching load includes courses in the research field of SEBD in the Institute’s Bachelor’s program of “Special Education Needs” and the Master’s programs in “Master of Education” and “Master of Special Education Needs and Rehabilitation”.

The successful candidate is expected to have a special educational research profile concerning children and young people with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) and first experiences in third party project funding. Applicants are expected to have a research profile in three of the following areas:

  • Inclusion of children and young people with SEBD in educational institutions
  • Psychoanalytic pedagogy
  • Mentalization based treatment and individual support for the emotional and social development
  • Social disadvantage and challenging behaviour
  • Child protection and safeguarding arrangements

The successful candidate will be expected to hold selected courses in English.

General responsibilities and conditions of appointment apply, in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz - NHG). Details will be provided upon request.

Part-time employment can be arranged upon request.
