Transparency in the University

Leibniz University Hannover offers its scientists the opportunity to discuss the risks of research projects collegially and expertly: The Senate’s Commission for Responsible Research, in which all of the university's member groups are represented, provides scientists with assistance by advising them on the consequences of research, as well as on the controllability and prevention of harmful use of research and its results.

In April 2016, the senate of the university adopted the "Guidelines for Responsible Research at Leibniz University Hannover" simultaneously with the establishment of the Commission for Responsible Research. These guidelines provide general information and assistance to researchers concerning the identification and management of security risks in research projects.
