Goals and values – What is important to us?
Our mission statement describes the visions and values that guide the actions of the members of Leibniz University Hannover. We derive our guidelines and strategies from our mission statement, which help us to achieve goals that are important for society.
Interdisciplinary and international – in the spirit of the life's work of our namesake, the universal scholar Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz – we aim to contribute to sustainable solutions to the key challenges of the future.

Constitution
The Constitution, which contains the main statutes of Leibniz University Hannover, deals with essential matters laid down by the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG) or ones which are regarded by the Senate as requiring regulation. In this way Leibniz University Hannover makes use of the opportunity for extensive reforms and the improvement of its quality.
