University Professorship (m/f/d) of Salary Scale W2 NBesO in Didactics of Mathematics

The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics invites applications for a University Professorship (m/f/d) of Salary Scale W2 NBesO in Didactics of Mathematics starting April 1, 2021.

We are looking for a nationally and internationally scientifically proven personality with a focus on didactics in mathematics for the grammar school teaching profession, who is scientifically qualified in at least one of the following two research areas: digitally supported learning in mathematics; qualitative and/or quantitative empirical research of mathematics-related teaching and learning processes. It is expected that a working group will be set up with a proven research direction, experience in raising third-party funds and practical school experience. Subject of teaching will be to provide basic and advanced courses in the field of didactics of mathematics for students of the teaching profession at grammar schools as well as for students with the aim of becoming teachers at vocational schools.

The readiness for scientific cooperation with mathematics didactic working groups in the Institute for Didactics of Mathematics and Physics is expected. Active participation in the Leibniz School of Education (LSE) is presupposed.

Collaboration in academic self-administration and in the organization of science should be a matter of course.

General responsibilities and conditions of appointment apply, in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz - NHG).

Part-time employment can be arranged upon request.
