Research Assistant (Ph.D. Student, m/f/d) in the area of Mathematics

The Institute of Algebra, Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (Ph.D. Student, m/f/d) in the area of Mathematics (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 75 %) to be appointed on October 1st, 2022 or earlier. The position is limited to 3 years, with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities and duties

For this position, responsibilities and duties include contribution to the teaching of the department (3 hours per week), research in a field of the group Discrete Mathematics and participation in duties of the institute. The aim is a Ph.D. in Mathematics.

Employment conditions

To qualify for the position, applicants should hold a scientific university degree in mathematics. Qualifications in combinatorics, reflection groups, quantum groups, or representation theory are desirable.
